Forest Sentinel is made from Merlot, one of the most loved grapes in the world, second only to Cabernet Sauvignon. It is native to Bordeaux where it’s often blended with more structured grapes, offering a soft temperament and classic juicy plum note. Merlot was named after the French word “merle” which means blackbird. Anyone who grows Merlot knows that blackbirds love to eat the ripe grapes right off the vine during harvest. They can always be found in the vineyard trying to sneak a taste.

Forest Sentinel is medium-bodied with soft tannins and acidity and notes of red cherry, strawberry, red plum, and chocolate.
