DRY, FRUITY, AND EASY-GOING.

The perfect white wine is easy-going with fresh acidity and a little bit of body to stand up next to food or, perhaps, a dance party. Whatever you plan on doing with Cast A Shadow, you will find in this bottle a crowd-pleaser that goes down easy. This wine is a blend of Hungarian-grown grapes, some you can pronounce and some you can’t. But one thing is for sure, a good wine like this is universal.

DON’T CALL IT A COMEBACK.

Hungarian wine has been here for years, you just may not have heard of it. Medieval Europe fell head over heels with the decadent, often spicy white wines of Hungary. Nobility regularly requested the rich white wines of Hungary, while alchemists tried and tried to figure out how to literally extract “gold” they believed was contained inside.

But then years of political strife and war set winemakers way back, and it wasn’t until the 2000’s that they started finally being able to make blends like Cast A Shadow again.

PAIR WITH LIGHT DISHES.

Cast A Shadow drinks great on its own with friends, but it also shines with appetizers and lighter, easy-going dishes. To really shine the light on the acidity and fresh quality of this wine, serve it with soft, spreadable cheeses like brie or goat’s cheese. Or serve it alongside truffle fries, shrimp ceviche, or tacos.
